Won the 2022 Shanghai Science and Technology Award

Recently, the 2022 Shanghai Science and Technology Award Ceremony was held at the Shanghai Exhibition Center to commend scientific and technological workers who have made outstanding contributions to the development of science and technology in Shanghai. Our company's President Liu Shuping participated in the ceremony, and the project "Key Technologies and Applications of Multi-pollution Ultra-clean Emission for Industrial Furnace Flue Gas" completed by Donghua University and other units won the second prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award.

Guided by the national major strategic demand of "winning the tough battle against pollution prevention and control", this project addresses issues such as the large number of industrial boilers and kilns in China, severe flue gas emissions pollution from industrial furnaces, and the potential for haze pollution. Supported by the 863 Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars Fund of the Ministry of Education, the Outstanding Technical Leaders Program of Shanghai, and the New Technology Development Commissioning Project for High-tech Enterprises in Shanghai, the project has undergone more than ten years of research. It focuses on the technical challenges of ultra-clean emission of flue gas containing particulate matter, trace heavy metals, and other pollutants from traditional industrial furnaces. By exploring new technologies such as PTFE-based fiber filtration for weakly magnetic fine particles, the project has overcome technical difficulties such as the three-dimensional structural reconstruction and performance improvement of low-weight functional filter materials, broken through the technical bottleneck of the integrated visualization platform for purification and dust removal, and achieved the promotion and application of key technologies for ultra-clean flue gas emission.

Our company has always taken scientific and technological innovation as its core and adhered to the path of high-quality development. In the future, the company will continue to strengthen technological innovation, constantly explore new areas of technology application, and make greater contributions to promoting the development of national and regional science and technology undertakings.

It is reported that a total of 16 scientific and technological achievements from Donghua University have been awarded this time. Among them, 11 projects led by the university have been recognized, including 1 Youth Science and Technology Outstanding Contribution Award, 2 first prizes, and 8 second prizes. Additionally, the university has been involved in 5 award-winning projects, with 1 first prize, 3 second prizes, and 1 third prize. The number of award-winning projects for the university has reached a new high.
